Numbness
The literal feeling of not feeling
A beautiful irony
An antidote for pain
Like floating through space
Feeling nothing

My life could deteriorate
Right in front of me
And I'd still be basking
In the beauty of nothing

You could do or say anything
Doesn't matter to me
As long as I'm not feeling

This gift was once a beautiful thing
But I abused it
And now I'm sinking
Drowning in apathy
Dying
But at least I never felt a thing
